PROJECT TYPE – Stairs Curved metal railing

LOCATION – Summerhill County Meath

APPROXIMATE BUDGET – Entire stairs €16,000 – Railing only fitted €8,300

This curved stairs railing uses flat bars to good advantage. The bar width and the spaces between them are proportionally related and this gives the railing a striking look. The internal part of these stairs is made from metal overlaid with plywood and special plasterboard. The steps of the stairs are made from marble. The riser and side bracket is made from brushed oak with an oiled finish.  To keep the stairs looking simple the Builder has used a plastered curved bannister on the upstairs floor.  This was a project that was especially close to the builder’s heart as this is his own house in County Meath.
